Hey, y’all!  Glad you found my little corner of the WWW.  I’m Wendy, aka “CajunTexasMom”, and I was born and mostly raised in Southeast Louisiana.  My family moved to the Lone Star State when I was a teenager.  I love both states and when people ask where I’m from, I claim both places as home!   I am a married, working mom to Elizabeth (11), Marie (8), Howie (7), Therese (6), and Beckett (15 mos.)  [Nota Bene: Names have been changed to protect the mostly innocent.]  I am married to Superman, a military veteran.  We are a non-traditional family in that I am the breadwinner, though we both work outside the home after having him having spent five years as a stay at home Dad (SAHD.)  Also, we’re on an eventful spiritual journey together — he was Baptized in the Catholic faith at Easter Vigil 2013, and I am a cradle Catholic.

We live in a suburb of Houston, TX.  Our finances are tight but not a stranglehold, our home is snug but not unbearable, and our faith is strong but not perfect.  I’m a “practicing” Catholic and as such, I’m a work in progress, saint-in-the-making who is fiercely loyal to the Magisterium, a Divine Mercy devotee, and completely captivated by the beauty of the Eucharist.  I am so glad you’re here…hope you stay a while and chat with me.  And if you must go, y’all come back now, ya hear?

  1. Hello Cajuntexasmom, I’m the crazy moma with the decaying chicken nuggets and wilted french fries shoes brought to you from the great city of Albuquerque. I was proud of my grease infested shoes and I’m glad that you found my shoes interesting. Believe me, it was a lot of work bringing those nuggets on the plane. At one point I almost ate them because I was getting hungry. I put my shoes first and feasted on some tasty peanuts and pretzels. YUM! I don’t know how I got to your blog. I really didn’t know what a blog was until this past weekend. Call me a little clueless. It was great meeting you and thanks for summing up the awesome weekend so well. Now I am able to share the quotes with my husband. Trying to convey all these ladies AWESOME words to my husband was not working. Words to live by and reflect on. Blessings! • Tanya, seriously I think your shoes were amazing 😉 And welcome to my blog…I am excited you are here, even if you’re not quite sure how you ended up here! Hahahahah. Thank you for your kind words. God bless you and your sweet family.
