It’s been a hot minute since I participated in 7 Quick Takes with Kelly, but there are a few things I’ve been loving lately that I wanted to share. And? I’m douple-dipping today and linking up with Big White Farmhouse for Five Favorites!

These free bookmarks from Christian Study Tools & Art. We have printed several different styles on white cardstock. I love them, my kids love them, and they’re free. My favorites are the ones that say “Do More of What Makes You Happy Holy” and this quote from St. Catherine of Siena, but there are so many gorgeous ones to choose from!

This article from Reader’s Digest (I’ll admit, I didn’t even know RD was still around!) about a teacher who, every week since Columbine, has taken steps to ensure no one in her class is being excluded, bullied, or mistreated in any way. Her solution is such a simple one, but it’s genius. I sent it to our school’s administration and the kids’ teachers and got some positive feedback. What are your thoughts on her way of looking at this complex issue?

The free Echo prayer app. I keep a prayer notebook in my purse to keep track of prayer intentions, but I don’t always have my purse when someone asks for prayers. Until now, I’ve used the “Hey, guardian angel, please remember this intention for me because I never will” method of tracking intentions, but I decided to give my poor angel a break. I love this app because you can enter specific prayers, create group prayers (linking with friends who have the app and updating everyone on progress), and there’s even a feature to mark the prayer “answered.” Give it a go and let me know what you think!

The Above All Lenten journal from Take Up and Read. Long-time readers of P.W.M. know that I’ve been a fangirl of Elizabeth Foss for years. This journal, comprised of essays from her team of writers, has been a wonderful way to enter the desert of Lent. It’s not too late to order a copy here. If it’s just not in the budget, I’ll share a secret with you: all of the Bible readings are located on the Take Up and Read blog here, and you can comment and interact there each day without setting foot…er, thumb…on social media.

Perfect for occasions when you (or your teen!) might need a little heavenly encouragement – before an exam, a job interview, or diving into a new project. Perfect for Easter baskets! Psalm 51. Y’all – it’s becoming a soundtrack of my life. Speaking of soundtrack of my life…[bonus take!]…go check out Audrey Assad’s new album, “Evergreen,” on Spotify (or wherever!)I’ve been listening on repeat. I think Ike Ndolo has the best review in the history of ever for this slice of musical gold:

Taking a walk outside. It’s warming up a bit, and we’ve seen the sun like three days this week. It’s been a nice change of pace (even though I love the cold and dreary!) I’m usually not an outdoorsy kinda gal, but taking walks with one kid, a few kids, or by myself has been therapeutic for me lately. It might just be the extra vitamin D, but I’ve been loving it 🙂
Tell me what you’re loving lately! Share with us in the comments below, then head back to This Ain’t The Lyceum for more Quick Takes, and to Big White Farmhouse for more Five Favorites!
I loved the RD article. What a powerful ministry that teacher has. Thanks for sharing!

It’s great to read your blog again. It’s been awhile since I’ve browsed my faves! That prayer app sounds great, love the tattoo and you’re the second person I heard today that recommended Evergreen. I better go check it out. 😃

Look who’s back with some FRESH TAKES!
I love those bookmarks. Gonna print some and bust out the laminator. 100x better than the random slips of paper and old Trivial Pursuit cards I’m currently relying on.
Thanks for linking up!
